China’s Capital of Cast Iron Pots-Xiaxian

Iron melting, mold pouring, casting, grinding, polishing… After several processes, a delicate iron pot is born. In Jiaxian County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, known as “China’s Capital of Cast Iron Pots,” an average of about 200,000 iron pots are shipped from here to both domestic and international markets every day.

Jiaxian County’s cast iron pot casting industry has a history of more than 600 years. After generations of inheritance and improvement, the casting technology has been continuously upgraded. In 2020, Jiaxian County was awarded the title of “China’s Capital of Cast Iron Pots” by the China National Light Industry Council and the China Hardware Products Association.

To maximize the benefits of iron pots, Jiaxian County has built a modern kitchenware industrial park covering an area of 65,000 square meters in Guangkuangtian Township under its jurisdiction. The park integrates product research and development, testing, manufacturing, and sales, with more than 60 enterprises specializing in iron pots and related products settling in.

Jiaxian County’s cast iron pot casting technology has undergone seven technological innovations, including sand turning, semi-mechanized die casting, super-hard mold die casting, nitriding technology, etc. Today’s Jiaxian County iron pots are dense, corrosion-resistant, and even safer and healthier.

The continuous updating of production technology has helped Jiaxian County iron pots enter markets around the world.
